"The Word Went Out and Disciples Multiplied" (South Asia - December 9, 2004)

I just got off of the phone with a friend from South Asia and have received a fresh update as to all the LORD is doing in the wake of our Oct. work there.

We left there on Oct. 10th and the best estimates are that by Nov. 10th there were over 400 Muslims baptized by the 76 people that participated in our Leadership Conference! The area leader was alarmed at the rapid growth as they had been averaging about 20 baptisms per month prior to the conference. Over the last month and a half, they have been averaging 200 muslims being baptized each week! That area leader has now formed a leadership team of about 8 men that will oversee the discipleship of these new believers and help to form them into new house churches. Churches there average between 15-40 people so it seems as though they will start a minimum of 10 new churches (more likely 20-25) from these new converts.
Many of you prayed for and gave to the Bible Project. The first batch of 3000 bibles has been completed and are being distributed throughout the most needy areas to church leaders that have no personal copy. The second batch of 3000 is already on the press and will be released after the 1st of the year. The Bible Project will be an on-going thing so if the LORD lays this on your heart, contact me and I'll let you know how you can help.

This past weekend there was a massive distribution of the Book of Luke that took place in the capital city. Over 250,000 copies of Luke were given out in one weekend! Please pray for the LORD of the Harvest to send the laborers out now to reap that harvest.

Finally, please be praying about the possibility of joining me on a journey to South Asia in 2005. I'll be leading 2 teams - one in July and the other in October. If you're interested, let me know.

Thanks for your prayers and support in helping make this GOD-sized movement continue!
