It is so encouraging to me and my family that you are committed to supporting our ministry through your devoted prayers. Over the last month and a half the Lord has brought to us some incredible opportunities to “enlarge our territory” by expanding our work into South Asia. As you might know, South Asia is the LEAST REACHED area of the world when it comes to the gospel. Unfortunately, that area also sees the least amount of missionary activity. We’ve exported Coca Cola, cigarettes, and Hollywood, but our most valuable asset we’ve hoarded to ourselves. However, God is not leaving these people without a witness!
At this moment Catherine and I have many dear friends that are raising their families, using their skills, and even using their retirement time as missionaries to that area which is dominated by Islam, Hinduism, and Animism. While Catherine and I served as missionaries in Pakistan we often felt like the churches here in the States didn’t understand or comprehend what God was doing there. And then when God brought us home to care for Catherine’s mother, we realized that the churches here don’t understand because they haven’t been exposed to what God is doing in that part of the world. That’s why we feel like God has called us to be a “bridge” between the churches here in the States and the work that God is doing in the least reached parts of the world. We know what it’s like to live and minister out there and we know what its like to live and minister here – now it’s time to connect the two for God’s glory!
Please use the attached prayer calendar to pray for us daily as we seek to establish a network of ministry opportunities for the coming year. As you are obedient to pray, you will find that maybe God is leading you to cross that “bridge” so that the least reached peoples of the world have the opportunity to hear, understand, and respond to the gospel that has given us hope and a future! Come on out . . . there’s a whole other world out here that needs to know!
